» Our Policies
Ever since the clan was created we took pride that we were a very organized clan. This shows by our policies to make sure that everything in the clan is working smoothly and there are no questions about anything. Below are the policies that we currently enact within our clan.
» Creation of a Chronicle
A Chronicle begins when at least five current members of COHR decide that they want to support a particular game. Usually it begins on our forums in the "Possible Chronicles" section. When five people are committed to the game, then it will recieve it's own forum and be recognized as an official COHR Chronicle. Next the election of an Archangel (the Chronicle's leader) takes place.
» Election of an Archangel
The election of an Archangel occurs when a new Chronicle is created. A Lord will post a topic in the newly created Chronicle's forum asking for names of people who would like to run. In order to run they must meet the requirements, which are listed on our Ranks page. After about a week the names are taken from the post and put into a public poll, which lasts for a couple of days. The winner of the poll is then approved by the Lords in their private forum. After the Lords have approved the member they are given the title of Archangel.
» Election of an Angel
The election of an Angel is very simple. The Archangel selects somebody who is currently involved in the Chronicle to help them lead. They choose based on their own friendship with the person and who they feel would be best for the job. The Angel does not have to be approved by the High Council. By default each Chronicle is only allowed one Angel. However, if an Archangel believes that multiple Angels are required, he or she may bring their request to the Lords. Note that no Chronicle with 15 members or less will be allowed multiple angels.
» Running a Chronicle
The Archangel is required to create at least two regularly scheduled clan events per month. We suggest that these events be announced at least 2 weeks in advance to allow members the time to make sure they can be involved. It is also the duty of the Chronicle leaders to promote both game and forum activity among Chronicle members. A Chronicle roster is also required and must be updated once per season.
» Closing of a Chronicle
We understand that running a Chronicle is difficult and it requires a lot of time, but if activity falls flat and stays that way for a whole season, then the Chronicle will be closed. Any Archangels and Angels of that Chronicle will return to their former ranks before they were promoted to their leadership roles. A closed Chronicle can be reinstated if 5 members agree to reactivate it again, but it will be on a provisional basis. Should they not have any significant activity by the end of the season, then the Chronicle will be closed again.
» Stepping Down of a Lord
When a Lord feels that they can no longer be helpful in running and maintaining the clan, then they can step down voluntarily. As a Lord steps down, if they leave in good standing, then they have their rank updated to be a Counselor of the clan. A departing Lord may make suggestions on who they feel should replace them in the leadership position, but the leadership are not constrained to only those choices. A new Lord can only be appointed if the other leaders all agree that the replacement is suitable.
» Stepping Down of an Archangel
When an Archangel can eithier no longer fulfill his commitment to the members of a specific Chronicle he may step down. He has free reign over who he chooses to take his place since he has been in the game and knows who would be best suited to run the Chronicle. If the Archangel chooses the Angel then that person may appoint a new Angel in his place. If the Angel isn't appointed as the new Archangel then they keep their current position.
» Stepping Down of an Angel
When an Angel can eithier no longer fulfill his commitment to the Archangel and to the members in a Chronicle he may step down. At that time the Archangel chooses a suitable replacement if he feels he still needs an Angel to help him run events and other clan functions in the game.
» Merging of Another Clan
In the event that a pre-existing clan wishes to merge with COHR, each member of that clan must register on our official forums. From there, they will be given membership as a Rogue. After becoming Rogues, they may join any existing chronicle or apply for the creation of a new Chronicle in their game of choice by following our Chronicle creation rules. All pre-existing rules, ranks, or policies from the merged clan will be eliminated to make sure all members only have one set of rules to follow, which is the COHR Creed.
